Job Title: Mechanical Design Engineer - Stony Point, NY

Job Description

This individual will be responsible for supporting new product development (NPD) throughout their life-cycle and some designing and detailing of new products.

ResponsibilitiesConcept Modeling in 3D and 2DDocumenting Design intent on 2D Drawings, ensuring parametric requirements are maintainedPerforming Tolerance Stack-Up AnalysisVerifying material selection/process is fit for use/functionSupporting existing product design changesCreating 3D models and assemblies accompanied by manufacturing, assembly, and installation documentationEssential Skills2 to 5 years experience with 3D modeling and drafting (SolidWorks and AutoCAD preferred)Experience in new product developmentKnowledge of sheet metal, lighting power distribution, electronics circuit design, and electronics designProficiency in AutoCAD and SolidWorksStrong understanding of mechanical engineering, mechanical design, and draftingKnowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing)Experience with electronic components and electronics developmentAdditional Skills & QualificationsBachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering (BSME)1 to 5 years experience in AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or ProEExperience in SolidWorks rendering is a plusWorking knowledge of Good Documentation PracticesExperience entering Bill of Materials (BOMs)Work Environment

The position is based in Stony Point, NY and requires onsite presence. The work environment includes a small engineering team that promotes development and collaboration across teams. The company offers great benefits and employee offerings. The dress code is business casual.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $80000.00 - $110000.00/yr.
