Job Description

We are seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to lead innovative robotics projects from ideation through to delivery, ensuring adherence to project goals and timelines. This role involves managing mechanical design and collaborating with cross-functional teams of engineers, designers, and stakeholders to adhere to the engineering process and achieve results.

ResponsibilitiesLead and contribute to the design and development process for mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems, leveraging CAD tools including SolidWorks.Conduct analysis, simulation, and testing to ensure designs meet performance and reliability standards.Ensure all designs comply with industry standards, customer specifications, and safety regulations.Prepare detailed manufacturing drawings, incorporating Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) principles, to guide the manufacturing process.Coordinate with engineering teams and suppliers, both local and overseas, to ensure high-quality production outcomes and efficient manufacturing processes.Develop and implement manufacturing process controls, and actively participate in supply chain optimization by selecting suitable parts and components.Essential SkillsBachelor's degree in robotics, mechanical engineering, or a related field.3+ years of experience in hardware development.Proficient in system, mechanical, pneumatic, and electrical design.Skilled in managing project procurement and technical bid documents.Good understanding of robotics concepts, technologies, platforms, and applications.Strong problem-solving, analytical, and organizational skills.Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.Additional Skills & QualificationsSpecific robotics experience is desirable but not essential.Adaptable, with a positive attitude, thriving in rapidly changing environments.Willingness to travel up to 20% for onsite support and customer engagement.Work Environment

This position requires onsite work. You will be working with advanced technologies and equipment in a dynamic and collaborative environment. The role may involve travel up to 20% for onsite support and customer engagement.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $40.00/hr.
