Description

Mechanical Engineer who preferably has a background in Avionics Hardware Integration. The successful candidate would be part of a dynamic avionics engineering team. This candidate will need to efficiently work with cross functional groups to reach milestone goals. The scope of your role includes flight avionics hardware, LRUs, and flight instrumentation.

You will be creating innovative designs that meet our demanding requirements through prototyping, hands-on design, and working directly with our vendors as a part of our standard practice. You will have the opportunity to collaborate and coordinate with multiple groups, including structural integrity, systems, structures, production control, and supply chain. Additional responsibility and duties will also involve the following:

•\tDevelop engineering drawings for parts, assemblies, and installations in 3DExperience & CATIA V5

•\tSupport production by providing drawing and model clarifications

•\tRevise and improve engineering drawings and models

•\tSupport Integrated Product teams for technical discrete tasks and requests

Additional Skills & Qualifications

•\tB.S. Engineering degree from an accredited university

•\t5+ years of relevant work experience within mechanical design

•\tRelevant mechanical design & manufacturing experience preferably focused on or within aerospace

•\tExperience with 3D modeling & drafting in 3DExperience, Catia V5, or similar design package - need experience in 3DX, Mentor Graphis, Solidworks Electrical Autocad Electrical or Zuken

•\tExperience with material and part selection

•\tExperience with interpreting electrical schematics and wiring

Bonus Experience:

•\tExperience with vehicle instrumentation for flight test is a plus

•\tExperience with composite vehicles is a plus

•\tExperience with schematics in Microsoft Visio is a plus

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $55.00 - $85.00/hr.
