Mechanical Design Engineer II
We are currently seeking a high-caliber Mechanical Design Engineer II for a direct hire basis within our client’s team of experienced professionals. Located in Phoenix, Arizona.

About the Role:
The Design Engineer II performs complex calculations, drawings, and specifications related to HVAC, plumbing or other systems.
Essential Functions: Performs more complex calculations, drawings and specifications related to HVAC, plumbing, fire protection or other systems. Performs more complex calculations for a project, such as heating/cooling loads, equipment selection and sizing, friction loss calculations, hydraulic calculations, etc. Prepares preliminary redline design layouts for estimating. Manages a single phase of a project. Provides guidance to less experienced engineers. Review applicable codes and criteria and examine field conditions as required to support design of project. Qualifications:
Four-year degree in Engineering or related field 3-4 years of experience PE license In-depth knowledge of applicable systems design, such as fire suppression, HVAC, plumbing, etc., as well as general understanding of system operations. Ability to read mechanical and plumbing plans. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Strong computer skills, including CADD and Microsoft Office Products, such as Excel.
