What You Will Be Doing
Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
-Configuration item development using Lockheed Martin’s Hardware Development process and design requirements verification
-Component selection and structural sizing, mass properties analysis, and manufacturing feasibility trades
-Model based definition design release within Creo parametric
-Engagement with manufacturing operations of prototype hardware
-Generate of engineering change requests and presentation program change board
-Generate presentations in support of weekly meetings, design assurance artifacts, and program reviews.

Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related discipline or equivalent experience/combined education with 5 years of professional experience is required.
• Proficiency with CREO (Pro/Engineer) is required.
• Experience with developing and interpreting GD&T in accordance with ASME Y14.5 is required.
• Experience with PTC Windchill is required.
• Basic Microsoft Office skills is required.
• Needs ability to obtain/maintain a secret clearance. US citizenship required.
Desired Skills:
MBD knowledge and experience
Missile Design experience a plus
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.
Clearance Level: Secret

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week

Description:
Mechanical Design Engineer to support Affordable Mass - Common Multi-Mission Truck (CMMT) development activities. Employee will report to the CMMT AUR Design Lead to perform subsystem and structural layout and sizing, detail structural and system design, and design for manufacturing/affordability/assembly. The ideal candidate would be proficient in the use of needed CMMT CAD programs (Creo, Windchill).
