Mechanical Design & Layout Engineer Trainee (m/f/d)

What are my responsibilities? Support the development of the detail engineering for baggage handling or parcel sortation systemsSupport analysis of layouts and system parts identifying faults and special needsAdvise and review projects in the sales phase by evaluating the compliance matrixIdentify and validate technical specificationsDesign of structures and metal parts according to SIEMENS requirements and good engineering practicesCoordinate steelwork design (maintenance platforms, crossovers, stairs, etc.)Deliver mechanical design documentation for customer approvalCoordinate building interfaces (space requirements, architectural collisions, accessibility, safety, etc.)Create and manage installation documentationHandle site problem reports, open points, etc.Support installation and commissioning teams on site when need itProcesses as-built documentationTechnical coordination with customer and supplier, including group representation at meetingsFocus on quality and client satisfaction
What do you need to qualify for this job?Bachelor's or master's degree in Mechanical or Civil EngineeringProficiency in both Portuguese and English, written and verbalProficiency in CAD programs (Revit, AutoCAD, Inventor, or Navisworks)Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel and Word)Experience with metallic structures, technical requirements analysis, and structural calculation, as well as knowledge of mechanical equipment safety standards (e.g., Machine Directive) is a plusStrong team player with organizational skills and a proactive attitude towards continuous improvementCapable of working autonomously under pressure to meet tight deadlinesAdept at working within an international environmentWhat we have to offer: Employment directly with Siemens LogisticsHybrid working modeFlexible schedule to work life balanceHealth insuranceAccess to e-Learning platformsSeveral discounts available with our partner
