Job Title: Mechanical Designer Job Description We are seeking talented Mechanical Designers to support a new program focused on creating simulators for navy aircrafts. You will be part of a growing team tasked with creating shop drawings for military aircraft and simulators. This role requires solid 3D modeling skills, with a background in sheet metal being a plus. You will manage large assemblies consisting of sheet metal, parts, sub-assemblies, hardware, and imported files. Additionally, you will help establish better modeling skills, provide software training, and suggest improvements for other Design Engineers. Hard Skills + 2-3 years design experience + Solidworks + Autocad + Solid 3D modeling + Creating shop drawings for custom equipment + Designing and drafting complex parts and assemblies + Managing small/large CAD assemblies and associated drawings + Familiarity with PDM Product Management Database + Reading and interpreting blueprints and schematics + Knowledge of GD&T for manufacturing sheet metal Soft Skills + Ability to simultaneously work on multiple projects + Prioritizing deadlines + Troubleshooting and adapting model files + Collaboration with Mechanical Engineers + Providing software training and improvement suggestions Work Site This is a fully on-site position in Jacksonville, Florida.
