Job Title: Machine Designer w/ SolidWorks

Job Description

This position focuses heavily on design work for very large mechanical equipment used to transport, shape, and heat treat steel. The two primary products are Levelers, which flatten or shape material into finished products, and Conveyors, which transport different materials through Chain Conveyors. The role involves designing these large components in Solidworks, including large bearings, steel rollers, and 'cassettes' that hold the rollers for the steel to roll across. The work will be 80-90% designing, with engineering tasks primarily handled by the engineering team. Initially, design work will be done in AutoCAD before transitioning to Solidworks. The company operates in the machine industry, manufacturing steel products for customers like Us. Steel and Cleveland Cliffs.

Work Environment

M-F: 7:30am-4:30pm. Large facility in Brighton, close to Highway 96. Cubicle-style work environment with frequent collaboration with the manufacturing team. Friendly staff promoting positive improvement.
