Job Description
We are currently looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team in Charlotte, NC. The successful candidate will work directly with project managers and clients on the design of plumbing, pumping, and HVAC systems. This role offers a dynamic work environment and the opportunity to contribute to various projects.
ResponsibilitiesDesign and calculations for building mechanical systems.Prepare plans, specifications, and construction estimates.Review drawings and recommend necessary changes.Attend meetings and interact with clients.Perform other duties as assigned.Essential SkillsBachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.Minimum of 2 years of experience in designing mechanical systems, including HVAC, Plumbing, Fire Protection, and water & sewer pumping systems.4-5+ years of experience preferred.EIT or PE certifications.Additional Skills & QualificationsExcellent technical and interpersonal skills.Strong verbal and written communication skills (English/Spanish preferred).Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and MS Office applications such as spreadsheets, databases, and engineering software.Work Environment
This position is based in a small office of about 6 people located in the South End of Charlotte. The role requires working in an office setting. The company has a presence in Puerto Rico and the Dominican Republic, offering opportunities for travel to these locations.
