Job Title: Mechanical Designer
Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Designer with 3-10 years of experience. Ideally, candidates will hold a Professional Engineer (PE) license, though we are open to individuals with a 2-year drafting degree who have extensive experience in long-term design roles. The successful candidate must be proficient in communicating with a variety of individuals and adept at operating computer design programs such as CAD and Revit. This role involves working on HVAC and plumbing within commercial projects, specifically government and K-12 projects.

ResponsibilitiesDesign and develop mechanical systems for commercial projects, including HVAC and plumbing.Utilize CAD and Revit software for design and drafting tasks.Collaborate with project teams, including government and K-12 project stakeholders.Ensure all designs comply with relevant codes and standards.Participate in on-site interviews with the mechanical department leader and senior engineers.Essential SkillsMechanical engineeringProficiency in Revit and Revit MEPHVAC design experiencePlumbing design knowledgeAutocad proficiencyExperience with plumbing/fire protectionStrong communication skillsAdditional Skills & QualificationsProfessional Engineer (PE) license preferredEIT or FE certification is beneficial2-year drafting degree with extensive design experienceWork Environment
