Job Title: Mechanical Designer About Us: This opportunity is with a leading Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing Consulting Engineering firm. They are dedicated to delivering innovative solutions and exceptional service to their clients. We are currently seeking a talented and motivated Mechanical Designer to join our dynamic team. Job Description: As a Mechanical Designer, you will be responsible for designing complex plumbing systems, calculating flow requirements, and selecting appropriate equipment. You will need to have a strong understanding of both current and past international plumbing codes and specification requirements. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team, manage multiple tasks efficiently, and meet project deadlines. Key Responsibilities: + Design various systems including sanitary sewer and vent, medical and/or gas systems, domestic water, natural gas, and storm drainage. + Calculate flow requirements and select equipment for complex plumbing systems. + Organize and execute detailed plumbing drawings. + Perform field investigations and write comprehensive technical reports. + Coordinate with other disciplines on projects to ensure seamless integration of systems. Qualifications: + Demonstrated technical skills in designing complex plumbing systems. + Proficiency in CAD software; knowledge of Revit is a plus. + Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks. + Knowledge of current and past international plumbing codes and specification requirements. + Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
