Job Description
As a Mechanical Designer, you will design and draft mechanical systems for residential elevators and dumb waiters. You will assist both sales and engineering teams with drawings and diagrams for routine layouts and support continuous improvement efforts for existing designs. Additionally, you will provide product support for dealers and manufacturers.
ResponsibilitiesProduce all drawings for dealer jobs as requested by the sales team.Keep all drawing files up to date and current.Assist engineering in creating drawings for products as required.Develop cost-effective new products that meet safety code requirements.Suggest and implement product improvements on existing products.Assist production with tool and fixture design.Develop and maintain Bills of Material for all products.Assist sales in resolving customer installation-related problems.Perform technical support as needed in a secondary role.Essential SkillsProficiency in mechanical design and drafting.Experience with AutoCAD, DraftSight, and other drafting tools.Ability to develop cost-effective products that meet safety codes.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience in tool design and fixture design.Ability to maintain and update drawing files.Strong problem-solving skills to assist sales in resolving installation-related issues.Work Environment
This position is 100% onsite, ensuring hands-on involvement and collaboration with the engineering and production teams. The role offers a dynamic environment where you will support both sales and engineering functions, contributing to continuous improvement and product development efforts.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $35.00
