Job Title: Mechanical Designer

Job Description

We are seeking an Industrial Designer specializing in sheet metal design for finishing systems. The role involves creating 2D and 3D models, preparing detailed manufacturing drawings, and collaborating with engineers to meet project goals. Proficiency in Autodesk Inventor, AutoCAD, and/or SolidWorks is preferred, with a focus on 3D modeling.

ResponsibilitiesDesign sheet metal components and assemblies for finishing systems.Create detailed manufacturing documentation in 3D.Collaborate with engineers and project managers to meet project goals.Utilize AutoCAD and Autodesk Inventor for modeling.Optimize product aesthetics and functionality.Manage design projects from concept to production.Essential SkillsProficiency in Autodesk Inventor, AutoCAD, and/or SolidWorks.Experience in sheet metal design.Ability to create detailed 3D manufacturing documentation.Strong collaboration skills with engineers and project managers.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience in powder coating.Experience managing design projects from concept to production.Knowledge of BIM (Building Information Modeling).Work Environment

You will work onsite in a cubicle with the engineering team and also get hands-on with the product on the floor. Our massive facility in Vancouver features multiple spray booths capable of handling projects from automotive to aerospace and defense sectors. You will join an established design and manufacturing team, with opportunities to expand your career within the metal fabrication and manufacturing space. Benefits include two weeks of PTO, five sick days, and verified holidays.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $26.00
