Job Title: Mechanical Engineer Job Description The Mechanical Engineer creates new designs and utilizes existing ones while focusing on customer requirements. The Mechanical Engineer works with other engineers and interfaces with all departments. The Mechanical Engineer will work to design both mechanical and electrical parts for industrial machinery. This role involves collaborating with engineering teams to develop mechanical assemblies and meet high-quality design standards. Responsibilities + Design mechanical and electrical parts for industrial machinery. + Collaborate with engineering teams to develop mechanical assemblies. + Ensure high-quality design standards are maintained throughout the process. + Process customer orders (Select standard products and design new equipment). + Create documentation: Component/assembly/installation drawings, bills of materials, and manuals. + Size pumps, plumbing, filters, heating & cooling requirements. + Select appropriate construction materials (plastics, metals, elastomers) for chemical compatibility. + Interface with engineering colleagues, sales, service, and production, providing input & direction. Qualifications & Education + BSME or equivalent + Machine design experience is a plus. + Must have good communication skills working in a team environment. + Strong ability to work independently with minimal supervision. + AutoCAD, Inventor, Microsoft Word and Excel, AS/400 Database, Infor/Syteline + Experience with 3D CAD Software. Preferred Skills & Abilities + Excellent verbal and written communication skills. + Excellent interpersonal skills. + Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. + Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines. + Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret large amounts of data. + Ability to prioritize tasks. + Thorough understanding of materials and supplies used in the company. + Proficient computer skills - particularly Microsoft Office applications. Physical Requirements  + Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. + Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds at times. + Must be able to access all areas of the facility to determine needs. + May travel (5-10%) Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $60000.00 - $90000.00 Medical, dental, visionPTOHolidays Does not currently offer paid paternity leave.However, we can offer 2 weeks (80 hours) of vacation time for 2024.This is in addition to the standard accrual rate.Understanding new hires can be short on accrual, I can be a bit flexible on work schedules.(ie, Coming in early or staying later to make up time) Workplace Type This is a fully onsite position in State College,PA.
