Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Designer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for Design and CAD Documentation work for sheet metal bending and inserts. You will update or customize configuration data/parts numbers and occasionally create full drawing packages. Additionally, you will take parts of existing projects and package them into finished goods to be sold.
ResponsibilitiesUtilize SolidWorks to create detailed mechanical designs and drawings.Work with sheet metal to develop and modify designs.Apply basic knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) to ensure accuracy and precision in designs.Collaborate with the engineering team to meet project deadlines and specifications.Review and revise existing designs to improve functionality and manufacturability.Essential SkillsProven experience as a Mechanical Designer or Drafter.Proficiency in SolidWorks.Experience working with sheet metal.Basic understanding of GD&T.Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.Additional Skills & QualificationsFamiliarity with ADA standards is a plus but not required.Knowledge in Mechanical design, Bill of Materials (BOM), and CAD drafting.Work Environment
You will work in a collaborative environment with an engineering team, utilizing technologies such as SolidWorks. The position involves working on detailed mechanical designs, primarily focusing on sheet metal. The work environment promotes independent work and effective time management to meet project deadlines and specifications.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $40.00/hr.
