Job Title: Mechanical Designer/Drafter
Job Description

This opportunity is ideal for an individual with an Associate's degree in drafting or relevant work experience. The company operates based on customer specifications, refurbishing old pumps and recreating them to meet customer needs. The role involves working in the shop to obtain dimensions, and working on the structural and skid portions of pumps. Responsibilities also include building beams and placing pumps and motors on skids.

ResponsibilitiesObtain dimensions in the shop.Work on structural and skid portions of pumps.Build beams and place pumps and motors on skids.Design and draft pumps, gear reducers, electrical panels, and bases or skids for units based on customer orders.Work with weldments.Mainly perform 3D design work.Essential SkillsAssociate's degree in drafting or 2-3 years of relevant work experience.2-5 years of experience using SolidWorks.2-5 years of experience using AutoCAD.Experience with structural skids and building beams.Experience with pumps.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience with piping is recommended but not required; training will be provided.Proficiency in drafting, design, mechanical, and CAD.Work Environment

This position is based in a new site in Katy, TX with a large backlog, ensuring job security. The role will become hybrid after approximately one month of training, subject to management discretion. The work involves both shop and design work, with most of the design being 3D.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00
