Job Description

GENERAL DESCRIPTION

The technical voice of JuP1 to the network specialist, strong technical support for the value streams and, at the same time, a guiding hand for process standards.Central reference for process definitions at Robert Bosch Juarez Plant.Close contact to international competence centers.Active participation in process definition meetings at lead plants.Ensure process specific standards and know-how-exchange in cross Value Stream Engineering teams.Improve process stability and efficiency.Coaching and knowledge deployment to the Value Stream-engineers.Support new product launches with technical know-how.

PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Current production (approximately 50%)

Set standards for processes and methods.Be part of problem solving teams and risk assessment teams.Organize knowledge exchange across Value Streams and competence network.Ensure process related knowledge exchange across production plants.Train and coach value stream engineers.

New project launches (approximately 30%)

Support feasibility studies.Technical expertise for VS-engineer for specification of equipment.Networking with network specialist from other plants and development.Know the market for equipment and methods in area of competence.Define process roadmap.

Future planning (approximately 20%)

Networking with network specialists from other plants and development.Know the market for equipment and methods in area of competence.Define process roadmaps.

SPECIFIC TECHNICAL TASKS

Develop mechanical and electromechanical prototypes.Design and fabricate electromechanical and robotic systems.Conduct research, analysis, and studies.Evaluate the feasibility of the production of new products in Robert Bosch Juárez plant with international cross functional teams.Propose low cost manufacturing solutions within the plant environment and develop cost estimations.Develop and discuss concept proposals with different levels of management within the plant as well as partners from other business units, development departments and other manufacturing locations.Continuously strive for and recognize ratio potential and improvement options in a project.Understand the sources for cost of manufacturing and actively work on technical concepts to efficiently reduce production cost.Ensure understandable technical specification and documentation containing all information necessary for stable production conditions.Confirm processes and standards regularly.Actively and anticipatorily manage project and process risks.Keep close contact to all relevant departments in the production network and development even beyond the scope of ongoing projects.Organize and actively participate in meetings with global experts.Contribute well based technical information from within Bosch as well as outside sources for the plants strategic setup.Define standards and keep processes standardized over the value streams of the plant. Regularly confirm standards in the production lines.Continuously increase process stability in the production lines.Provide all necessary technical information about processes to the Value Stream Engineers.Define technical competence requirement for all other technical functions working on the process (operators, technicians, process engineers and related functions).Provide internal process trainings for Value Stream Engineers.Coach process engineers in value streams in complex problem solving processes and contribute know how where necessary.Perform Mechanical integration, acceptance of mechanical components of designs.Responsible of machine adjustments and precise alignments. 

Qualifications

EDUCATION & ACADEMIC BACKGROUND

Bachelor's degree in Mechatronic, Electrical, Mechanical, Computer Science, Information Technology Engineering, or related field.Bilingual (Spanish and advanced English).

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

Experience in mechanical design (machinery).Experience in automated mechanical systems.Experience in embedded system design/programming.Experience in robotic mechanical design and automation.Experience in integrated mechanical systems.Experience in mechanical standards DIN, ASTM.Understand mechanical and electromechanical principles and their application.Working knowledge of electronic circuits.Knowledge of sensors and actuators.Knowledge of automated control systemsKnowledge of electrical and electronic systems.Knowledge of sensors, actuators, and signal processing.Profound experience with integration of mechanical machine elements.
