Job Title: Mechanical Drafter
Job Description

The drafter will be responsible for creating detailed mechanical drawings and designs that are provided by mechanical engineers.

Hard SkillsCreate detailed mechanical drawings and designs using CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Inventor)Prepare 2D and 3D models of mechanical components and assembliesDevelop layouts, schematics, and diagrams based on engineering specificationsGenerate and maintain accurate and comprehensive technical documentation, including drawings, bills of materials (BOMs), and specificationsEnsure all designs adhere to industry standards, codes, and regulationsSoft SkillsWork closely with engineers and project managers to understand project requirements and constraintsParticipate in design reviews and provide feedback to improve designs and processesCoordinate with manufacturing and production teams to ensure designs are feasible and cost-effectivePerform quality checks on drawings and designs to ensure accuracy and completenessRevise drawings based on feedback and changes in project scope or requirementsStay updated with the latest advancements in mechanical design and drafting technologiesPropose and implement improvements to design processes and toolsJob Type

This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 9 Month(s).

This is a fully on-site position in Waukesha, Wisconsin.

Work Environment

Collaborative work environment with engineers, project managers, manufacturing, and production teams.
