Mechanical Drafter

The drafter will be responsible for creating detailed mechanical drawings and designs that are provided by mechanical engineers.

Other responsibilities:

Design and Drafting:

Create detailed mechanical drawings and designs using CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks, InventorPrepare 2D and 3D models of mechanical components and assembliesDevelop layouts, schematics, and diagrams based on engineering specifications

Technical Documentation:

Generate and maintain accurate and comprehensive technical documentation, including drawings, bills of materials (BOMs), and specificationsEnsure all designs adhere to industry standards, codes, and regulations

Collaboration:

Work closely with engineers and project managers to understand project requirements and constraintsParticipate in design reviews and provide feedback to improve designs and processesCoordinate with manufacturing and production teams to ensure designs are feasible and cost-effective

Quality Assurance:

Perform quality checks on drawings and designs to ensure accuracy and completenessRevise drawings based on feedback and changes in project scope or requirements

Continuous Improvement:

Stay updated with the latest advancements in mechanical design and drafting technologiesPropose and implement improvements to design processes and toolsAbout Actalent
