Job Title: MEP Drafter

Duties and Responsibilities

Prepare layout sketches for Plumbing and HVAC installation projectsCommunicate with all disciplines to insure well-executed delivery of project documentsCoordinate with managers to define scopes of work, changes, and progress through completion of workPrepare studies, calculations, reports, construction specifications, and other supporting documentationReview project instructions and requirements to offer possible redesign, substitution of materials, or rearrangement of systems for cost saving measures.Provide quality control reviews by researching code, design, and detailed project specific requirements to ensure systems conform to engineering design and client requirementsMaintain frequent communication with supervisor regarding job/project work and cost status.

Qualifications:

AS Degree in Mechanical Drafting or related fieldAdvanced computer skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)/ Microsoft Office Suite2+ years of professional experience within HVAC/MEP industry preferredProficient in AutoCAD
