Description: Looking for a Drafter to design and prepare detailed drawings of RF Shielded Enclosures & Anechoic Chambers including plans for Architectural, MEP and Structures according to specifications provided by clients. Responsibilities: • Draw rough and detailed scale plans for modular components and structures based on preliminary concepts, sketches, engineering calculations, specification sheets and other data. • Operate computer drafting equipment such as AutoCad, SolidWorks etc. to produce modular designs, working drawings, shop drawings, shipping list, charts and forms as required. • Produce detail, layout and assembly drawings, using AutoCAD and SolidWorks so the designed equipment can be manufactured in a logical order and in a production friendly manner. • Analyze critical interface between components and designs for appropriate assembly. • Prepare material shipping lists projects and manage revision levels. • Maintain and update CAD drawings to reflect changes and modifications in existing projects. • Work directly with engineers and project managers to determine the most logical and cost effective designs to meet requirements. • Order materials required to meet job requirements. • Examine engineering drawings and bills of material of structural components, assemblies, and installations to ensure accuracy, adherence to design standards, and detect errors in design. • May act as a “checker” of others, carefully examining drawings, details, and shipping list minimize omissions and errors. • Detail and check small to large projects. Be able to take a project from start to finish. Can detail and check any size project with speed and accuracy. • Must be able to perform at a high level to maintain project schedules and requires minimum checking and minimum supervision. • Track and manage drafting hours per project and report to Drafting Manager any overages or variances as required. • Ability to change from one job to another job on short notice as projects require. Skills: solidworks, mechanical, autocad, structural design, Mechanical design, architecture, mep Top Skills Details: solidworks,mechanical,autocad,structural design,Mechanical design Additional Skills & Qualifications: • 2 year associates degree • At least 2 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment creating 3D and 2D models and drawings. • Experience in drafting and modeling for multiple trades including architectural, structural, mechanical, plumbing, fire protection and electrical based designs from engineers and architects. • Proficient in AutoCad and SolidWorks • Knowledge of ASME codes & Standards • Good organizational and planning skills • Strong oral and written communication skills • Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently • Accurate and precise attention to detail • Able to analyze problems and strategize for better solutions mechanical aptitude proficient in Solidworks Architectural/structural drafting experience is a plus Any previous experience with shielding is a huge plus Experience Level: Intermediate Level About Actalent Actalent is a global leader in engineering and sciences services and talent solutions.
