Mechanical Drafter
Our client, a prominent Midstream Pipeline Operator located in Houston, TX, is actively seeking a skilled Mechanical Drafter to join their team. This position plays a crucial role in assisting the Lead Plant Designer with various projects related to natural gas facilities, including Measurement stations, Compressor stations, and Pipeline appurtenances. **Job Title:** Mechanical Drafter **Location:** Downtown Houston, TX **Pay Range:** $35.00-42.00 per hour **What’s the Job?** + Assist the Lead Plant Designer with as-built projects and additional assigned duties. + Maintain Mechanical (Piping, Civil & Structural) drawings in the AutoCAD drawing environment. + Complete multiple Mechanical redline requests related to meter and compressor stations. + Manage drawings within the document management system. + Conduct As-built projects related to meter and compressor stations. + Manage multiple 3D model sets independently or as directed by the Lead Plant Designer. + Provide weekly updates to the Lead Designer on project progress. + Conduct quality QA/QC reviews of all drawings before submission for approval. + Utilize raster editing software and work with Company document management systems. + Collaborate with the Drafting team to ensure project completion. + Learn and incorporate natural gas industry terminology and acronyms into drawings and related work outputs. **What’s Needed?** + Minimum of 3 years in 3D Piping and experience in Plant, Process Piping P&IDs. + Experience with CADWorx Plant Professional modeling software. + Experience managing and building 3D model sets. + Knowledge of P&ID symbols and terminology. + Proficient in using Windows operating systems. + Good communication skills, written & verbal, with the ability to work with minimal supervision. + Previous experience in the natural gas transmission industry is preferred. + Punctual and dependable with the ability to listen and learn.
