Job Title: Mechanical Drafter

Job Description

We are seeking a Mechanical Drafter responsible for generating detailed drawings for our major product - the electrical slip ring, which transmits continuous power and electrical signals from a stationary to a rotating structure. The role involves gathering necessary information such as measurements, specifications, and additional data from inspection and engineering departments, creating drawings and 3D models using SolidWorks, updating engineering data within the company's ERP system, and making necessary changes to existing drawings using AutoCAD.

ResponsibilitiesGenerate detailed drawings for electrical slip rings.Gather information from inspection and engineering departments.Create drawings and 3D models using SolidWorks.Make necessary changes to existing drawings using AutoCAD.Periodically update engineering data within the company's ERP system.Use company standards as guidelines for drafting and documentation.Perform other duties as assigned.Essential Skills3D modeling/design in SolidWorks.Experience designing mechanical assemblies and sub-assemblies.Proficiency in SolidWorks CAD software.Proficiency in AutoCAD is a plus.Proficient computer skills, including Word and Excel, Internet.Strong knowledge of drafting principles and practices.Familiarity with technical writing and documentation standards.Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in creating technical drawings.Strong problem-solving skills.Ability to work independently or in a team environment.Good communication skills to effectively collaborate with engineers, designers, and other stakeholders.Additional Skills & QualificationsAssociate or Bachelor's Degree in Drafting, Mechanical Engineering or equivalent (Preferred, but not necessary).Work Environment

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $27.00 - $28.46
