Job Title: Mechanical Drafter
Job Description

This person will design, build, and install a wide range of quality equipment. Our client specializes in custom machinery and equipment for industrial food processing plants. The role involves significant use of AutoCAD and Inventor, making a mechanical background highly desirable. An understanding of sheet metal, as well as experience with hydraulics, pumps, and valves, would be valuable due to the types of equipment involved.

ResponsibilitiesDesign, build, and install custom machinery and equipment for industrial food processing plants.Work extensively with AutoCAD and Inventor software.Utilize knowledge of sheet metal, hydraulics, pumps, and valves in design and installation processes.Create detailed mechanical designs and draftings.Generate and manage bills of materials (BOM).Implement engineering change management procedures.Essential SkillsProficiency in Autodesk Inventor and AutoCAD.Mechanical design skills.Experience with SolidWorks.Strong mechanical aptitude.Knowledge of food manufacturing equipment.Experience with sheet metal design.Understanding of engineering change management.Additional Skills & QualificationsAssociate's degree in drafting design.At least 2 years of experience in a mechanical background.Experience with valves, pumps, and hydraulics.Familiarity with geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T).Work Environment

The work environment is a small, quiet office with ample natural lighting. The role involves significant computer work, focused on designing with minimal customer interaction, making it ideal for someone who prefers to spend most of their day working at a computer.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $30.00
