Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Drafter to join our dynamic team. This role involves utilizing AutoCAD for mechanical design, 2D/3D design, and design for manufacturing (DFM). The ideal candidate will have experience in drafting and mechanical design, and will be comfortable working in both office and shop environments. This position offers the opportunity for lots of overtime during the busy season and potential for pay increases if hired directly.
ResponsibilitiesUtilize AutoCAD for mechanical design and drafting.Create 2D and 3D designs for manufacturing purposes.Collaborate with production and project management teams on the shop floor.Adapt to customer project changes and work independently on projects.Essential SkillsProficiency in AutoCAD.Experience in mechanical design.Ability to create 2D and 3D designs.Knowledge of design for manufacturing (DFM).Adaptability to fast-paced work environments.Additional Skills & QualificationsAssociate’s degree in drafting preferred, but not required.Relevant experience in lieu of a degree is acceptable.Work Environment
The work environment includes both office and shop settings. The majority of time will be spent in the office, but there will be required time on the shop floor with production and project management. The team culture is very fast-paced, requiring adaptability to customer project changes and the ability to work independently.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.00 - $30.00/hr.
