Looking for a Summer Internship? The facilities professionals at our location in Valley Forge, PA are eager to share their expertise with you. If you enjoy mechanical/electrical maintenance consider an opportunity to engage with a us as we support around the clock data center operation. This role will support the day shift facility operations. Interested candidates should have basic familiarity of one or more of the following:
- Electrical infrastructure to include low and medium voltage switchgear, transformer substations, motor control centers, UPS systems, emergency generators, and distribution panels.
- Mechanical systems and accessories including cooling towers, chillers, air handling units, exhaust fans, pumps, hot water heaters, motors, controls, and other plant equipment.
Additional duties will include:
- Assist in the performance of preventative, reactive, and corrective maintenance, including troubleshooting and testing systems.
- Support customer requests and operate with a continuous improvement mindset.
- Support contractors performing onsite routine maintenance and well as troubleshooting systems.
- Champion safe work practices, OSHA regulatory requirements and procedures.
Basic Qualifications:
- Possess the ability to safely use tools, equipment, electrical PPE, ladders and elevated platforms within facilities operations
- Be able to lift 50 pounds
- Familiarity with all types of hand tools, multi-meters, metal fasteners, valves & piping
Desired Skills:
- Proficient in MS Office applications (Microsoft Outlook, Word, & Excel).
- Effective oral & written communication skills.
- Capable to work independently and with team.
- Demonstrated ability to build effective relationships.
- Effective time management skills.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: Non- standard 40 hour work week as assigned by leader
