We are seeking an HVAC Mechanical Engineer for a contract-to-direct assignment in Burlington, Vermont. The selected candidate will work closely with client owners in a fast paced, dynamic environment establishing design requirements and producing construction documents for the installation of complex manufacturing tools.
Hours are Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm

Responsibilities- Design oversight of piping and ducting for equipment heating, cooling, exhaust and process chemicals / gasses for large tools
- Design may include retrofit of existing building systems to accommodate tool installation including: engineering calculations, equipment and component sizing, selection and specification, and support during construction and integration
- Work directly with client equipment owners, researchers and equipment manufactures of next generation and prototype tools to build utility requirement documents to allow the development of installation design packages
- Act as the mechanical representative on a multi-discipline team and interface closely with the mechanical tool design team
- Provide technical training, quality check designs and assist directly with the more complex portions of the design process
- Interact directly with client and contractors to assist construction on-site
- Perform site visits and walks
Qualifications- Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering
- 7+ years of Mechanical Engineering experience within HVAC, hydronics, process piping, exhaust, plumbing and related mechanical building systems
- 5+ years experience working with complex manufacturing tools is highly preferred
- A PE License is highly preferred
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD is a plus
