Job Description
Job Summary:
Teledyne Brown Engineering Inc. (TBE) in Knoxville, TN is seeking a mid-senior mechanical engineer experienced in developing mechanical and controls systems. The TBE Knoxville facility specializes in developing the next-generation-system for use in nuclear explosion monitoring networks, such as the International Monitoring System (IMS) of the Comprehensive Nuclear-Test-Ban Treaty Organization (CTBTO).
Essential Duties and Responsibilities may include the following.
Creating fabrication and assembly drawings IAW ASME Y14 standardsTolerancing and design for manufacturabilityInterpreting electrical schematics for troubleshooting and design purposesDeveloping proposals, test reports, customer presentations, design specifications, etc.Interface with technicians to ensure specifications are attainable and verify complianceInterface with customers in technical working groupsEstimate labor hours, track actuals, and coordinate scheduling with other project managersTroubleshooting complex systems from sensor data and log filesCreating bills of materials for new designs and tracking materials during fabricationOther duties may be assigned.Supervisory Responsibilities
This job has no supervisory responsibilities but may include providing technical leadership to lower-level Engineers.
