Mechanical Engineer

Job Responsibilities: Customer Specifications: Review and interpret customer specifications to create detailed part drawings for one-off specials based on our standard product line. Product Design: Design and develop new mechanical and electromechanical products from concept to detailed part drawings, ensuring timely delivery with minimal supervision. CAD Modeling: Create 3D CAD models and detailed 2D part drawings using Inventor (preferred) or SolidWorks, or other 3D CAD software. Material Selection: Select appropriate materials and components to meet design requirements and ensure product quality. Engineering Duties: Perform a variety of related engineering tasks, including preparing Bills of Materials (BOMs), technical user manuals, and other documentation. Innovation: Continuously improve and innovate product designs to meet customer needs and industry standards. Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of designs into manufacturing processes. Problem Solving: Utilize strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address design challenges and optimize product performance. Communication: Maintain clear and effective communication with team members, stakeholders, and customers to ensure project success. Manufacturing Knowledge: Apply knowledge of materials and manufacturing processes to enhance product design and functionality. Qualifications: Education: Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering (ME) or equivalent engineering/design experience. Experience: 3-5 years of engineering/design experience, with openness to higher-level candidates. Skills: Proficiency in 3D CAD software (Inventor preferred, but SolidWorks or others acceptable), strong communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills. Attributes: Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and a team player with a collaborative mindset. Bonus: Manufacturing engineering knowledge is a major plus.
