Job Title: Mechanical Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer for production support, whose primary role will be to provide support for product-related issues within the plant, encompassing planning, purchasing support, the manufacturing team, and quality assurance. The successful candidate will be pivotal in resolving issues such as alternative sourcing when supply chain disruptions occur and making necessary design updates when manufacturing challenges arise. The goal is to ensure these issues are permanently resolved. Responsibilities also include supporting cost reduction projects and resolving field issues connected to customer feedback. The role involves a blend of activities including updating designs and working closely with the New Product Development (NPD) team to share findings and design improvements for continuous development. This role will involve a good amount of sheet metal, weldment, and large assembly design using CAD software - Inventor primarily, followed by SolidWorks.

The ideal profile is a Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering with at least two relatable MECOP/internships, but a preference of 1-3 years of post-academic experience. Experience must come from heavier industry such as equipment or machine design and fabrication.

This is a fully on-site position in the Eugene, Oregon, area

Work Environment

The position is based in the continuous improvement department, and will require the candidate to be onsite in Eugene. The role involves close collaboration with various internal teams to enhance product designs and manufacturing processes. This is a design build fabrication and manufacturing facility.
