Mechanical Engineer
Job Title: Mechanical Engineer
Job Description

As a Mechanical Engineer, you will be tasked with designing large and complex product subsystems alongside senior engineers and working independently on other product subsystems. You will control Engineering Changes and prepare required documentation for Agile release. You will be part of a cross-functional team focused on mechanical, electrical, and software design. You will develop proof-of-principle hardware to verify concepts prior to prototyping. You will also prepare project timelines, task lists, and hardware costing for assigned projects. In addition, you will assist in implementing methods and procedures for document control and security, and provide engineering support to Instrument Service and Manufacturing. You will also be required to evaluate field failure reports to determine causes of problems and probability of failures.

This is a permanent position.

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Torrance, California.

Work Environment

This position requires the employee to frequently sit and occasionally stand, walk, use hands and fingers, and reach with hands and arms. Must be able to occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Ability to read and analyze hard written copy and information on a computer screen. Ability to successfully respond to multiple work pressures. Ability to communicate verbally and in writing to individuals and groups. Ability to travel to other locations both within and outside of the local region. Must have a valid Driver's License and access to a car.
