Our client, a premier contractor operating internationally, is urgently looking for an experienced Mechanical Engineer to be working on a Battery Factory in the North East of England. As a Mechanical Engineer you will oversee the design and development of mechanical systems and components of projects. You ideally have a strong background in mechanical engineering principles, remarkable problem-solving abilities, and passion for innovation.  

Key Requirements & Responsibilities:    

Lead the design and development of mechanical systems, components and products using software and engineering principles.  

Work closely with cross- functional teams, including electrical engineers, software engineers and project managers to integrate mechanical systems into overall project designs.  

Examine and keep track of tests to oversee the performance and functionality of mechanical designs.  

Review test data and make recommendations for design improvements & optimizations.  

Prepare precise engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documentation for mechanical designs.  

Generate and present reports to communicate design concepts, analysis, and test results to stakeholders.  

Manage effective communication with clients/stakeholders.  

Prepare project records of design changes, revisions, and project developments.  

Collaborate with team members, suppliers, and clients to address technical inquiries, resolve issues, and ensure project success.  

Participate in meetings & design reviews to contribute ideas and insights to the overall design process.  

Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.  

Notable experience in Mechanical Engineering role within construction. 

Extensive experience in Ductworks projects.  

Strong understanding of project pre-construction & design is an advantage. 

Knowledgeable in Mechanical Engineering software and Engineering analysis tools.  

Strong knowledge of mechanical principles, systems, and processes.  

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.  

Effective communication and teamwork skills.
