We are assisting a leading Construction & Engineering contractor in Europe, delivering complex projects across various sectors that exceed client expectations, contribute to community development, and uphold the values of integrity, innovation, and excellence. The company is now looking for an experienced Mechanical Engineer responsible for designing, developing, and testing mechanical systems and components to ensure they meet project specifications and industry standards including collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to deliver innovative and efficient mechanical solutions.
Key Requirements & Responsibilities:
Lead the design and development of mechanical systems, components and products using software and engineering principles.
Work closely with cross- functional teams, including electrical engineers, software engineers and project managers to integrate mechanical systems into overall project designs.
Examine and keep track of tests to oversee the performance and functionality of mechanical designs.
Review test data and make recommendations for design improvements & optimizations.
Prepare precise engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documentation for mechanical designs.
Prepare reports to communicate design concepts, analysis, and test results to stakeholders.
Manage effective communication with clients/stakeholders.
Manage procurement utilising Engineering Materials Report by producing material take offs identifying the lead in periods and field need dates.
Prepare project records of design changes, revisions, and project developments.
Collaborate with team members, suppliers, and clients to address technical inquiries, resolve issues, and ensure project success.
Participate in meetings & design reviews to contribute ideas and insights to the overall design process.
Degree/qualifications in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
10+ years’ experience in Mechanical Engineering role within construction.
Experience in Off Site Fabrication of module Pipe Racks is highly beneficial.
Pharmaceutical experience is ideal.
Knowledgeable in Mechanical Engineering software and Engineering analysis tools.
Strong knowledge of mechanical principles, systems, and processes.
Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
