Duties and Responsibilities for Mechanical Engineer: Utilize SolidWorks to design and model components and assemblies for new product development projects. Lead hands-on prototyping efforts, including the fabrication, assembly, and testing of prototypes to validate design concepts and performance. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including design engineers, electrical engineers, and product managers, to translate product requirements into feasible design solutions. Conduct basic analysis, such as stress analysis and thermal analysis, to evaluate design performance and identify areas for optimization. Implement the FMEA (Failure Mode and Effects Analysis) process to identify and mitigate potential risks throughout the product development lifecycle. Work closely with manufacturing partners to ensure manufacturability, cost-effectiveness, and scalability of product designs. Maintain strong knowledge of manufacturing processes and materials, and make recommendations for material selection based on performance requirements and cost considerations. Provide technical expertise and support to resolve design-related issues during product development and manufacturing.Skills and Qualifications for Mechanical Engineer: 5-7 years of experience in mechanical engineering, with a focus on product design and development. Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field. Proficiency in SolidWorks or similar CAD software for 3D modeling and design. Hands-on experience with prototype fabrication, assembly, and testing. Strong analytical skills and ability to conduct basic analysis to evaluate design performance. Experience with the FMEA process and application of risk management principles. In-depth knowledge of manufacturing processes, including machining, injection molding, and additive manufacturing, with an understanding of materials selection and properties. Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
