Primary Responsibilities
We are currently searching for a Mechanical (HVAC and plumbing) Engineer for our Round Rock, TX office. The individual will be responsible for:
Designing mechanical systems for highly integrated facilities. Perform load calculations, static pressure calculations, pump head calculations, energy analysis, etc.Develop mechanical specifications, AutoCAD and 3D BIM modeling of systems, mechanical equipment schedules, etc.The applicant will be expected to work independently with minor guidance on small projects or assist more senior engineers on larger projects.Position may include field investigation and mechanical inspection for projects.As required, the Mechanical PE is expected to work with others, with the team, or outside of the team to complete mechanical system designs for more complex projects.Required Qualifications:
Bachelor Degree in Mechanical or Architectural EngineeringExperience in HVAC and plumbing system designPE requiredProficiency with Microsoft Office productsPrefer proficiency with Revit 2016 or more current releasesPrevious experience with an architectural/engineering or engineering consulting firmExperience and/or interest in sustainable design/LEED is desirableMust have a valid Texas Driver’s LicensePreferred Qualifications:
Master's degree in Mechanical or Architectural Engineering with HVAC-related emphasis5years’ experience with mechanical system design forhealthcare, education, science and technology, and federalMechanical system design experience for water/wastewater experience is a bonusPosition requires high verbal and written communication skillsWhy HDR
