As a Mechanical Engineer you will:

\r\n\r\n\r\n\tPerform a range of design development, analysis or review tasks under some supervision.\r\n\tConfer with customer/supervisor to determine project details, such as scope of work, timing of work, phasing requirements, plan preparation, acceptance issues, special conditions, or other matters.\r\n\tAssess customer needs/requirements and analyze proposed site factors to scope work and prepare concept design strategies.\r\n\tPrepare drawings, specifications, schedules and cost estimates for design projects.\r\n\tDirect inspectors in construction management activities.\r\n\tSolve construction issues as they arise.\r\n\tDevelop engineering standards for installation facilities construction.\r\n\tDevelop and champion the installation’s goal to provide quality facilities.\r\n\t Evaluate plans/criteria and complete special analyses supporting engineering efforts accomplished by others.\r\n\tProvide technical expertise on a variety of engineering activities.\r\n\tDevelop plans for installation of systems, utilization of facilities, or construction of structures that comply with programmed scope and costs. Draft/supervise drafting of detailed plans and construction documents.\r\n\tAssure drawings are prepared in compliance with appropriate drawing (tri-service) standards.\r\n\tPrepare detailed statements of work for construction projects.\r\n\tDetermine material quantities, labor requirements and other factors, and use such information in preparing detailed, accurate projections of construction costs.\r\n\tPrepare documents presenting costs for use in programming projects, preparing budgeting plans and assessing validity of contractor bids. Lead or participate with other designers to collaborate in multi-discipline projects.\r\n\tParticipate in contract solicitation, bid review, award, and pre-work activities. Assure contract documents (e.g. signed drawings, purchase requests, submittal listings, etc.) are promptly prepared, executed and delivered.\r\n\tReview contract submittals for compliance with contract specifications.\r\n\tInspect project site and evaluate contractor compliance with contract requirements.\r\n\tOversee activities of project inspectors to assure regular and accurate daily inspection of contractor work.\r\n\tAssure complete and appropriate project closeout, including fiscal closeout, as-built and record drawing completion, etc.\r\n\tInvestigate existing conditions of structures or systems to assess their adequacy/suitability for use.\r\n\tConduct testing and analyses, using tools and equipment, and applying engineering knowledge.\r\n\tPrepare reports and document project activities and data.\r\n\tDesign a portion or section of an analysis or design review.\r\n\tGenerate sections of design specifications of more complex projects or complete specifications of less complex projects.\r\n\tPrepare, deliver and submit technical presentations for in-process design and review meetings.\r\n\tEstablish and maintain a filing system or databases as needed for tracking project status.\r\n\tDevelop, maintain and produce technical documentation and system/subsystem specifications.\r\n\tDirect interface and liaison with customers at all levels from quotation to final design and test activities, design reviews and technical working group meetings to comply with requirements and specifications.\r\n\tConduct site visits and investigate engineering problems, propose solutions and alternatives, and provide recommendations.\r\n\tVerify and comply with engineering documentation standards and test procedures.\r\n\r\n\r\n

This is a full-time, Direct Hire opportunity.

The ideal candidate will have:

\r\n\r\n\r\n\tBachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering with some applicable design experience required.\r\n\tThree (3) years professional technical experience which includes at least one (1) year specialized experience performing mechanical, electrical, or computer engineering.\r\n\tSOLIDWORKS, Inventor, 3D CAD, Weapons System experience.\r\n\tPossess analytical abilities necessary to handle extremely complex administrative, organizational, and contract matters.\r\n\tHave a basic knowledge of computers-able to input and extract data, prepare briefings, transmit documents.\r\n\tPossess excellent oral, written, and communication skills; Able to address a variety of audiences.\r\n\tAble to give attention to detail and execute on multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.\r\n\tAble to deal with customers and company employees in a courteous, professional, and effective manner.\r\n\tValid Drivers’ License required.\r\n\tCandidates selected must be able to obtain and maintain a Top-Secret clearance and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information\r\n\r\n\r\n

Salary: $100,000 – 115,000/year

\r\n\r\n

*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.

\r\n\r\n

\r\n\r\n
