Job Title: Mechanical Engineer Job Description The Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for mechanical design, testing, and documentation of biotech instrumentation/scientific instrumentation. This role will play a pivotal part in the development of new instrumentation and support of existing ones for the biodefense, clinical, and life-science markets. You will lead the planning, documentation, prototyping, and testing of designs and will occasionally be hands-on with prototyping. You will also work closely with vendors for technical updates on manufactured components and troubleshoot issues. Collaboration with other team members and multi-discipline teams in the overall product development process is crucial. The entire process from initial concept, through design, testing, and fielding on multiple efforts will be part of your responsibilities. You will also support the systems requirements creation and specification creation for new and existing products. Top Skills' Details 1) Experience with mechanical and electromechanical systems design with Solidworks (highly preferred SW tool) or relevant experience and another 3D CAD tool 2) Experience with medical device or scientific instrument design and development.
