Microsoft Mixed Reality is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join the Product Development and Mechanical Engineering team at our Mountain View, CA campus. The candidate should be a motivated self-starter who will thrive in this fast-paced technical environment. 

As a Mechanical Engineer, you will create and refine mechanical part designs through full product development cycles, from ideation to mass production. This work involves integrating optical and electronic assemblies with mechanisms and mechanical enclosures to create great augmented and virtual reality (AR/VR) experiences. To do this, you will be asked to balance the needs of customers, budget, schedule and product requirements while communicating effectively across partner teams. You will create mechanical drawings, work with overseas manufacturers, and refine your designs through prototype builds and reliability validation. At times, you will be required to travel to support validation and manufacturing activities overseas and across the US.
