Mechanical Engineer
Job Title: Mechanical EngineerJob Description We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Engineer with a strong background in both 2D and 3D CAD design. The ideal candidate will possess experience using Autodesk Mechanical Desktop, Autodesk Inventor, Infor, and Microsoft Office. Responsibilities include creating detailed and assembly drawings using CAD software, selecting and designing parts to meet functional, cost, and delivery requirements, and consulting with engineers to interpret design concepts. The candidate must also understand manufacturing and installation processes, read and understand electrical schematics and drawings, maintain parts databases, and review peers' work for accuracy. Hard Skills + Associate's Degree (two year college or technical school) + Two to four years related experience + Proficiency in Autodesk Mechanical Desktop, Autodesk Inventor, Infor, and Microsoft Office + Knowledge of Geometric Tolerancing, Welding Practices and Symbols, and Hydraulic Circuits + Ability to read and understand schematics and drawings of electrical systems + Experience in creating parts lists for procurement, manufacturing, and installation Soft Skills + Accuracy - Ability to perform work accurately and thoroughly + Detail Oriented - Ability to pay attention to the minute details of a project or task + Organized - Possessing the trait of being organized or following a systematic method of performing a task + Self-Motivated - Ability to be internally inspired to perform a task to the best of one's ability using his or her own drive or initiative + Oral Communication - Ability to communicate effectively with others using the spoken word + Written Communication - Ability to communicate in writing clearly and concisely + Initiative - Ability to make decisions or take actions to solve a problem or reach a goal + Safety Awareness - Ability to identify and correct conditions that affect employee safety + Technical Aptitude - Ability to comprehend complex technical topics and specialized information Job Type This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 9 Month(s). Work Site This is a fully on-site position in Schofield, Wisconsin. Work Environment Small family-owned company. The design team currently consists of 3 members, with plans to expand to 5.
