Job Title: Mechanical EngineerJob Description We are seeking a skilled and innovative Mechanical Engineer to join our team. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on groundbreaking products that have never been designed before. The role involves creating mechanical design drawings, influencing the design and assembly process, and working with a multidisciplinary team to deliver next-generation mechatronics innovations. Responsibilities + Generate 2D and 3D mechanical design drawings. + Provide direct influence over the mechanical design, electronics assembly, and installation process. + Actively define, scope, and participate with a multidisciplinary team focused on delivering innovations in next-generation mechatronics. + Create product and project specifications and requests for proposals. + Manage total product and project quality including: the creation, oversight, and execution of quality plans; conduct reviews of equipment and system performance with end-users during and after initial deployments; and record and report key metrics to team members and management. + Work autonomously on complex and ambiguous projects. Essential Skills + Proficiency in CAD design. + Experience with design and testing methods. + Strong requirements analysis skills. + Knowledge in aerospace engineering. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Experience creating product and project specifications. + Ability to manage and oversee quality plans. + Excellent communication skills for interacting with team members and end-users. Work Environment This role is onsite in the Georgetown area, offering plenty of parking. The work involves designing receptacles for drone-delivered packages, similar to locker boxes at retail stores. These delivery hubs will be distributed around cities in public parks and other public places, allowing consumers to pick up products using a QR or numerical code.
