Job Title: Mechanical Engineer Job Description We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer with over 10 years of experience in the Oil & Gas, Power Generation, or Renewables sectors. The ideal candidate should have a solid understanding of reciprocating or mobile type equipment, and a minimum of 5 years of experience with Solidworks and AutoCAD. Experience with gas compression equipment and chillers is essential. Off highway/trailer mount experience is a plus. Candidates should be capable of managing projects from inception to completion. Responsibilities + Develop mechanical engineering designs, equipment lists, general arrangements, and process flow diagrams (PFDs) in accordance with project requirements. + Prepare technical specifications and sizing calculations for major equipment, including gas compression, gas conditioning, and power generation. + Perform intermediate complexity engineering designs, including analysis, calculations, research, and equipment selection. + Provide field installation support and assist construction personnel in pre-commissioning and start-up activities. + Conduct thorough reviews and analysis of mechanical designs to ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and client specifications. + Collaborate with third-party OEM packagers and general contractors to coordinate mechanical engineering activities and ensure project success. + Work with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless integration of mechanical designs with overall project objectives. + Participate in project meetings, design reviews, and client presentations to communicate progress, findings, and recommendations effectively. Essential Skills + 10+ years of experience in mechanical engineering, specifically in O&G, Power Gen, or Renewables. + 5+ years of experience with Solidworks and AutoCAD. + Experience with gas compression equipment and chillers. + Familiarity with mobile equipment, preferably in O&G or Power Gen sectors. + Proficiency in equipment selection and analysis. + Demonstrated ability to manage projects from concept to completion. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Experience with off highway/trailer mounted equipment engineering (e.g., vehicles, trailers, ATVs). + Understanding of reciprocating and mobile equipment. + Past Experience in power generation and renewables. + Knowledge of microgrid and OEM. + Experience in new product development, GD&T, project management, BOM, and analysis software. Work Environment The role is primarily office-based, with occasional troubleshooting and travel required. The position requires being in the office at least four days a week. The work schedule will be coordinated with the candidate. Holidays are covered during the contract period, and PTO will be granted as needed. The role is a salaried contract position.
