Hire Resolve is currently working with a reputable consulting firm based in Cape Town who is seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer to join their team. As a Mechanical Engineer in the consulting field, you will be responsible for providing expert advice and solutions to clients in various industries.

Responsibilities: Conducting site visits and inspections to gather necessary data. Analyzing client requirements and developing innovative mechanical designs and systems. Preparing detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and cost estimates. Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure design integrity and functionality. Performing calculations, simulations, and tests to validate design feasibility and performance. Providing technical advice and guidance to clients and stakeholders. Ensuring compliance with industry standards, regulations, and codes. Managing project timelines, budgets, and resources. Preparing and presenting project proposals and reports to clients. Staying up-to-date with advancements in mechanical engineering technology and practices.

Requirements: 

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field. Professional Engineering (PE) license is preferred. Minimum of 3 years of experience in mechanical engineering consulting. Strong knowledge of mechanical design principles and standards. Proficiency in engineering software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and ANSYS. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. Effective communication and presentation abilities. Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Flexibility to travel to client sites as required.
