Job Title: Mechanical Engineer Job Description We are seeking a talented Mechanical Engineer to provide production support to the machining and assembly areas. The ideal candidate will analyze engineering sketches, specifications, and related data to determine design factors and create rough layouts. This role offers the opportunity to work on a unique product line of firetrucks in a small company setting with a large engineering team. Responsibilities + Provide production support to the machining and assembly areas. + Analyze engineering sketches, specifications, and related data to determine design factors such as size, shape, and arrangement of parts. + Sketch rough layouts and compute angles, weights, surface areas, dimensions, radii, clearances, tolerances, leverages, and locations of holes. + Plan and formulate engineering programs and organize project staff according to project requirements. Essential Skills + Mechanical engineering experience + Mechanical design experience + Proficiency in CAD software + Experience with AutoCAD + New product development + Engineering and drafting skills Additional Skills & Qualifications + Experience in commercial engineering, fire & emergency plumbing, and fire & emergency body design is preferred. + A degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field is preferred.
