Job Description
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsibilities include research, design and sustainment support of mechanical and electro-mechanical products and systems as well as structural components.
Evaluate documentation such as industry specifications, customer specifications, design proposals, and application requirements to determine feasibility and improvements of existing designs and new options or features.
Work with quality, production floor and design teams to develop products or systems within project timelines and performance criteria. Systems may include controls, engines, machines, power generation systems and heat transfer systems (mechanical, thermal, and hydraulic).
Work closely with a cross-functional team to plan and execute projects within established timelines.
Research, design, develop and create detail drawings and parts lists for mechanical products and systems. Review and update of test procedures, test reports, analysis papers, and manuals.
Analysis of systems to include structural, thermal, and dynamic characteristics (vibration, shock, etc.).

Qualifications
BSME degree with minimum 5 years of experienceExperience in manufacturing settings and with high vibration, motor-driven applications is a plusProficiency in Structural and Thermal FEA, including hand calculationsUnderstanding of fabrication processes (machining, welding, sheet metal, composites)Strong communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skillsExperience with SolidWorks and AutoCAD, including drafting practices per ASME Y14.100Ability to quickly grasp new concepts and apply them in an evolving environmentAdditional InformationAll your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines.
