Job Title: Mechanical Engineer
Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will spend 60-70% of your time working on SolidWorks design and 30-40% on design reviews, documentation, and reporting. You will collaborate closely with production and manufacturing teams, providing feedback and ensuring design compliance.

ResponsibilitiesCreate 3D drawings using SolidWorks.Conduct design reviews and document findings.Report on project progress and outcomes.Work with production and manufacturing teams to ensure design compliance.Provide feedback to improve product designs.Ensure designs meet industry regulations and codes such as FAA, C Codes, ISO, and FDA.Perform verification and validation of designs.Essential SkillsProficient in SolidWorks for creating 3D drawings.Experience with IPX rating and rugged enclosure designs.Familiarity with Windchill or other PDM tools.Ability to perform tolerance analysis and stack-up.Experience with design for manufacturability.Knowledge of industry regulations and codes (e.g., FAA, C Codes, ISO, FDA).3-5 years of experience in mechanical engineering.Verification and validation experience.Additional Skills & QualificationsAbility to articulate and describe technical concepts of drawings.Creative in conceptualizing drawings, not just following directions.Experience with gaskets or environmental seals.Work Environment

This position is based in a manufacturing environment. The company serves the military, defense, and aerospace industries, relying on stable government funding. The company has been well-established since the 1940s and provides quarterly stock options to employees.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $90000.00 - $140000.00
