Mechanical Engineer
Mechanical Engineer Actalent is seeking to hire a Mechanical Engineer in Portland, OR, where you'll develop innovative solutions and support existing test systems. Location: Portland, ORKey Responsibilities: + Design & Development: Create and modify designs, documentation, and production support for mechanical interfaces and components used in multi-rack automated test stations. + Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with a diverse team to solve production and field testing problems, including initial design, prototyping, and environmental testing. + Product Design & Analysis: Develop and review product designs, perform tolerance analysis, and ensure designs meet development requirements. + Test Fixtures & Documentation: Design test fixtures, cables, interconnects, and prepare associated documentation. + Project Management: Plan and manage tasks effectively, present technical information to peers, management, and customers. + Environmental Considerations: Address enclosure structural design, thermal, vibration, and other environmental factors, from design verification to production transition. Skills & Qualifications: + Detail-Oriented: Strong attention to detail and precision in work. + Team Player: Ability to excel in a team environment, interacting with mechanical engineers, drafters, electrical engineers, software engineers, and system engineers. + Software Proficiency: Excellent working knowledge of SolidWorks, NX Designer, and AutoCAD or similar design tools. + Mechanical Design & Analysis: Capable of performing mechanical design and analysis to meet system requirements. + Problem-Solving: Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
