Job Description
We are looking to hire a number of Mechanical Engineers to support an Aerospace client program near the Portland Metro area. This team will be responsible for a series of projects and engineering work related to nonconforming materials and parts that are causing impact to form, fit and function of our client's products.
Roles are likely to include elements of design, design review, analysis (FEA, static loads, kinetic energy, thermal considerations), supply chain and quality, among others. An overarching theme of deeper engineering analysis and problem solving exists within these roles.
Hard Skills
BS degree in Mechanical Engineering, or higherProficiency in SolidWorks design, and knowledge of GD&T or precision tolerances for designThe role will require a high level and diversified set of skills within mechanical engineering; good prospects may need not have every single qualification, but should have some combination of several:FEA, thermal analysis, material analysis, tolerance analysis, RCCA/root cause and corrective action, failure analysis, DFM/DFA, nonconformance evaluation, quality or defect analysis, process development, experience with various manufacturing processes such as machining, casting, additive manufacturing, etc.5+ years of experience in a complex engineering/design environment required; 7-10+ years highly preferred and will be prioritizedPE License a bonus, as are team leadership roles and abilities

Strong communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to coordinate with customers, vendors, and internal engineering teams, and potentially lead teams and projectsProject management skillsPay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $75.00
