Job Description Must Haves:  3+ years of experience in design and product development  Experience with 3D CAD Design (Creo, SolidEdge, or similar programs)  Experience with Sheet Metal specifically for Cabinets, frame design, enclosures, or power units (NOT AUTOMOTIVE)  Experience with Bill of Materials (drawing of BOM preferred)  Knowledge of UL, NEC, and IEC requirements Plus:  General knowledge of 3-phrase Power, PDUs, or Power Transformers  Experience with model-based design (MBD)  Ability to interpret electrical schematics and familiarity with electrical components Day to Day/Responsibilities: A client of Insight Global is seeking a Mechanical Engineer that will focus on Static Transfer Switch (STS) and Power Distribution Unit (PDU) products. The role will review requirements and specifications, provide feedback, and use 3D CAD software to develop product designs. The product designs are documented in PLM software to release drawings and bills of material.
