Job purpose

BorgWarner PowerDrive Systems is currently looking for “dynamic, results driven” individual to join as a Sr. Power Electronics Mechanical Engineer.

In this role, and under direct supervision of the Power Electronics Mechanical Engineering Manager, the Sr. Power Electronics Mechanical Engineer will support the mechanical design of Hybrid/Electric Inverter and Converter Systems for various global automotive customers.

Key responsibilities

Mechanical design of Hybrid/Electric Inverter and Converter SystemsPowertrain, Driveline and Packaging of electronics and Circuit BoardsDesign mechanical components in compliance with the BorgWarner Bill of DesignDesign product and components to meet customer specificationsPerform mechanical analysis and verificationThermal ManagementVibration CapabilityThermal ShockTolerance StackDocument design as needed and requiredDevelop and interface with supply base in support of program needs and purchasing initiativesInterface with customer as neededProvide written and oral presentations as neededFollow a structured problem-solving approach to resolve issues

What we’re looking for

Bachelor of Science, Mechanical Engineering (or related)Minimum 5 years - Mechanical hardware design experienceAutomotive Electronics experience is highly preferredExperience with automotive environmental and durability requirementsExperience with NX or similar CAD applicationsExperience with analysis tools (preferred)
