ResponsibilitiesDesign and develop products and accessories in CAD, focusing on functionality, durability, and user experience.Generate detailed 3D models and technical drawings for components and assemblies.Collaborate with the broader Sales, Marketing, and Production teams to craft more impactful designs.Leverage both in-house and supplier resources to develop and explore new systems and processes.Conduct testing to validate product designs, ensuring they meet performance standards and industry regulations.Leverage skills in fabrication and rapid prototyping to build product samples and test new production strategies.Provide design support during the manufacturing process, including troubleshooting and problem-solving for manufacturability.Work closely with cross-functional teams, including production, quality assurance, and product management, to ensure successful project outcomes.Essential Skills5 years of experience in mechanism designProficiency in SolidWorks with recent experience (last 2 years) and a skill level of 7/10 or better5 years of experience in automation or robotic equipment design2+ years of prototype/fabrication experienceHands-on experience either through work or hobbies for a minimum of 2 yearsExperience in new product development, sheet metal, PLC control, and arduinoAdditional Skills & QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field, or demonstrated professional experience in the same5+ years of experience in product design involving complex assembliesProficiency in CAD-based design, prototyping, and testingExceptional skills in engaging users and analyzing the broader user experienceExperience with testing and validation of mechanical productsStrong problem-solving skills and a hands-on approach to design and testingExcellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environmentFamiliarity with electronics, PLCs, and control languages such as C++, Arduino, and Raspberry PiExperience in the ammunition, firearms, or outdoor equipment industryDeep understanding of ammunition reloading and related productsWork Environment
Mostly a desk job, but will spend time on the manufacturing floor and prototype parts and assemblies. Also working in test labs performing environmental testing such as shock, vibration, and structural testing.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $43.67 - $52.88
